Arch-rivals BEA, BMC, Cisco, Dell, EMC, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and Sun team up to develop Service Modeling Language (SML), an XML-based modeling language that provides a consistent way to document the hardware and software resources that make up business services, and the relationships between them.
